You will be able to demo your hack from your mobile device at the event as we will have a camera or an ELMO. You can also use an emulator.

I am thrilled with the new categorizations. I would love to learn sms related stuffs. I figured out how to send sms from web apps, But couldn't get how can my web app receive sms. Any idea?

You need a GSM modem, or turn your mobile into one. Get hold of any smart phone; you can write code to accept sms as input to an application that can then initiate REST / WS call to your web app.
